A Non-Profit Sanctuary · In Honor of Steve Irwin
The Steve-O Crocodilian Sanctuary.
Beside the park, on 100 acres of its own, the Steve-O Crocodilian Sanctuary gives lifelong refuge to rescued and nuisance crocodilians — the animals nobody else would take. A non-profit home for what may become the largest rescued crocodilian collection anywhere.
Our Mission
Across the country, crocodilians deemed a nuisance — too big, too close to people, in the wrong place at the wrong time — are routinely killed. There is almost nowhere for them to go.
The Steve-O Crocodilian Sanctuary exists to be that place. We give these animals a permanent, protected home, and we do it for them and for the wild places they represent — because every animal saved is a small act of protection for the whole environment.
The park is where the world comes to learn. The sanctuary is where the rescued ones are safe forever. Together they make one promise: fall in love with these animals, and help us keep them alive.
What Makes It Different
Rescue, not display
Nuisance crocodiles, alligators, and surrendered crocodilians — animals that would otherwise have been destroyed — find permanent refuge here.
100 acres of refuge
Beside the park's 150 acres, the sanctuary adds 100 more — quiet, beautiful, and built for the animals to simply live.
Observe, don't perform
There are no demonstrations at the sanctuary. You come to watch these animals be themselves, in a setting that honors them. The shows live next door, at the park.
In honor of Steve Irwin
Named for the man who taught the world to love what it once feared. Every rescue carries that spirit forward.

The sanctuary's own home is on the way. Until then, reach out to support the rescue work, partner with us, or surrender an animal in need.
